 - Hotel - We have reserved a block of rooms at the Crowne Royal Hotel in Philadelphia under the name "Ryan's Bar Mitzvah".

                They will offer you a very discounted rate under $100 (before tax). The hotel also offers a free continental breakfast.

- Transportation:

            If you don't have a car, there are lots of ways to get around Philadelphia:

           - Route 44 bus (on the main street, there is a public bus which travels back and forth into Philadelphia quite                     often.

         -  Taxi - The most popular taxicab is Maxwell. Their phone number is:  610-896-5100

         -   Airport Shuttle - can be arranged by hotel.

 

Note: we will provide transportation to the synagogue from the hotel and to the event.

 

Things to do in Philadelphia:

          Philadelphia is a fabulous city with an incredible amount of cultural, historical, and entertaining activities 

          you can participate in. Some of the highlights include:

                   - Running up the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Art Museum

                   - Eating a cheesesteak

                  -  Visiting the Barnes Foundation or Rodin Museum.

                  -  Dining in Manyunk or on South Street.

                 -   Strolling around Rittenhouse Square

                -   Watching an Eagles, Flyers, or Sixers game (all in December)

                -   Getting a nice cup of coffee from Wawa!!!

                -    Visting the Liberty Bell , Independence Hall and Constitution Center.

               -     Enjoying a Philadelphia soft pretzel.

 

Note: On the same day as Ryan's Bar Mitzvah, the infamous Army-Navy football game will be taking place at 10am at 

Lincoln Financial Field. It's a historic sports event and very exciting to watch.
